Applications:

It is used for applications where the welding and heat treatment of the ferrous alloys are combined in a single operation. The alloy is useful for brazing resistance wire of Nicromo type and Candal T1 type, because the brazing temperature is high, allowing the relief of recognition of resistances avoiding granular cracks.

Particular characteristics:

Alloy inexpensive indicated for joining various ferrous and nonferrous alloys. Can be heated up to 1650°C without damage. For brazing furnace, the heating cycle should be short to avoid excessive volatilization of zinc with the resulting formation of the brazing alloy layer.

HZ-Ag5B has the particularity to have a good wettability in iron because its silicon content facilitates the capillary, neutralizing iron oxide.
